My wife and I will be attending the NAMM show in Anaheim next week, so if any of you are going to the show, maybe we'll see you there. I'm not doing any signings or presentations or anything like that, but I will be there as a guest of Spector basses. I'll also be dropping by the Modulus, DR Strings, and Ampeg booths, so you might see me somewhere around there too.

Cannibal Corpse were shocked to learn about the tragic accident
involving the bands Decapitated and Crionics. We would like to send
our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Vitek from
Decapitated. We also would like to express our sincere hope that Covan
makes a full recovery from his injuries. Our thoughts are with the
bands and crew, friends, and family that were affected by this
terrible tragedy
We have just returned from Brazil, where we finished off the Kill tour with a very successful 4 show mini-tour. This was our 3rd trip to Brazil, and we were happy to see lots of old friends as well as many new ones. We really had an excellent time there, and we want to thank the fans in Brazil for giving us such a great response. These will likely be the last shows we do until 2009, so we are really happy to finish the tour on such a high note. We also would like to thank Eduardo and Victor for doing a great job with the organization of the tour, all of the local crews/promoters, and all of the excellent bands we shared the stage with during the tour.

We have just returned home to Tampa after the final show of the Metal Blade Records 25th Anniversary tour, which was Thursday night in Orlando. The whole tour was incredible, in fact some of the biggest headlining shows we've ever done in North America were on this tour. There's no doubt that a huge part of the tour's success was due to the overall strength of the line up of bands supporting us on the tour (The Absence, Goatwhore, The Red Chord, and The Black Dahlia Murder).

That's right. Check the tourdates for all the details.
Since the last time we checked in we have finished off our tour with three very successful concerts in Chile, Argentina and Peru. Chile and Argentina had some of the most vocal audiences we've ever played to (the chanting was just awesome), and the Peru show was our first in that country, and it was really fantastic. There were intense pits in the audience throughout the night, it was a really great response. We also would like to comment about an article on us (written by the Peruvian news agency Andina) that stated we are part of a relief effort for victims of the recent tragic earthquake in Peru. As far as I know, none of the band members knew about this, so I'm not sure where this news agency got their information from. We don't want to take credit for something we did not do, even if it's a very good thing like this. However, this is certainly a noble cause, and of course we would encourage people inside and outside of Peru to contribute to helping the victims of this disaster.

Hello everyone, just wanted to update you all on how the tour is going. We have had another major disappointment, and that is that the concert in Venezuela was cancelled by the local authorities mere hours before we were to begin. This is an enormous dissapointment for us, as all of the fans were already there, and many of them had traveled a great distance to get there.

CANNIBAL CORPSE bassist Alex Webster has issued the following clarification regarding the band's abbreviated August 17, 2007 performance in Bogota, Colombia:

We have to clear up what happened at the Colombian show we recently
played. The show was cut short, and cut short for one reason only: THE
POLICE SHUT IT DOWN. Although we had terrible luck throughout the day
in other ways (major problems with the local audio equipment, Alex was
violently ill with food poisoning), these reasons would not be enough
to make us stop playing. We stopped because the local promoter told us
that we must stop because of the police. We had already played 11
songs (normally we play 17 or 18). We all wanted to play more, but the
promoter said it was impossible. Unfortunately, nobody explained this
situation to the fans, and many were angry, and a small riot ensued
during which time our banner and pedal boards were stolen.
It is very important to us in Cannibal Corpse that our fans understand
that we were not responsible in any way for being cut short, it was
the police. We are sorry to the fans there who saw us play a shorter
set than normal, but it was not our fault that we had to stop playing.
Just a quick alert that the tourdates for the upcoming Metal Blade tour have been updated. Some dates have been added and other have moved venues so check them out before you make plans.
On another note, this weekend the band will be at the infamous (SOLD OUT) Wacken Open Air festival. If you are planning on being at Wacken, make sure to check them out on the Black Stage on Saturdays at 00:45 right after In Flames. There is no meet & greet planned.
Hello everybody, we’ve just returned from a 7 show mini-tour of Europe that was comprised of three festival dates and 4 headlining shows.
We began with a performance at France’s Hellfest on June 22nd, the show went very well despite some inclement weather. Ask anyone who was there and they’ll tell you there was definitely a lot of mud to deal with, as well as strong winds and rain. Regardless, the fans gave us and the other bands a great response.

We have just returned from a short but excellent tour of Mexico and Guatemala. We want to say thank you to all of the great fans who came to see us, you made the tour a huge success. The death metal scene in Mexico and Central America is clearly as strong as ever, and we look forward to returning in the future to see all of our friends and fans there.
We also want to say thank you to Carlo and crew for doing a great job with the organization of the tour, and to our own crew as well. The schedule was sometimes hectic during the tour, but you guys did a great job keeping it all together. We also want to thank the local promoters and crews for their hard work and hospitality.
We are also very pleased to announce that we are in the process of finalizing more tour dates for Central and South America. These dates will be in countries we didn’t play on this recent tour, and will likely be scheduled for mid to late August. We will have an update on this very soon.
OK, that’s all for now. Thanks again to all of the fans that attended the shows in Mexico and Guatemala, you guys rule!
We want to let you all know that we have no concerts scheduled in 2007 for anywhere in the UK or Ireland. Any announcement stating otherwise is a mistake. Please do not buy tickets to any of the concerts in the UK or Ireland that may have been announced. We are sorry that somebody has announced shows that are in fact not happening, and we are currently working hard to determine how and why this happened.
Hey everybody, we have just returned from a very successful tour of Europe. The tour took from one side of Europe to the other, from the West in Portugal to the East in Bulgaria, to the North in Finland, and many other countries in between. We really feel like every show was a success, and we want to thank all of the great fans who came to the shows and made the tour so killer. We would also like to thank our friends in Disavowed and Urkraft for kicking ass as support on the tour.

Hey everybody, I just wanted to let you all know how our European tour is going so far. Today we're playing in Slovenia, which will be the 14th show of the tour, so this show marks the halfway point. So far all of the shows have gone really well, the audiences have been excellent night after night. We also were very happy to finally play in Romania and Bulgaria. It was our first time playing in either of those countries, but it certainly won't be the last. Both countries have great death metal scenes, and we hope to return there when we tour for our next album. The other countries we've been through so far have been: France, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece, and Serbia, which was last night. We've met a ton of cool people at every show, so I'd like to say hello and thanks to any of you who might be reading this.
OK, sound check is going to start in a few minutes, so I'd better get going. Thanks again to all the fans who have come to the shows so far, see the rest of you soon!

2006 US Tour wrap up
We have just finished a 26 show tour of the USA and Canada, and we feel it was a great success. In many of the cities we had our best turn-outs ever for a headlining tour, which is really something for band on its 10th album. No doubt having the killer bands DYING FETUS, NECROPHAGIST, and UNMERCIFUL as support on the tour helped a great deal with this success. We would like to say thanks to all of the bands and crew for the tour, and most importantly to the fans who came out and made the shows so excellent. We will be doing more touring in support of our album Kill next year, so if you missed us this time you will probably have a another chance to catch us live sometime in 2007. See you all then!
Tour report November 29, 2006
Hey everybody, we are in Tempe Arizona today, which is the last show on the West Coast leg of the current US tour. So far the tour has been even better than we had hoped for as far as attendance is concerned, and all of the bands on the tour have been having great responses from the audiences night after night. The great success of this tour package, which is death metal from top to bottom (Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, Necrophagist, Unmerciful), shows just how strong the death metal scene in North America is right now. We would like to give massive thanks to all of the fans who came out to the shows so far, and we look forward to bringing this tour of musical brutality to the rest of you as we work our way back home to Florida on the remaining dates. See you at the show!
Sure, WE all know Make them Suffer is the ultimate video of the year. But now we just need to convince the the people at HBB. So go and vote: http://hbb.mtv2.com
Please note; there have been some minor changes to the European tour schedule.
Getting ready to see the Cannibals tomorrow in Salt Lake City? Take note to drive up to In the Venue instead of the Avalon Theater. There has been a last minute venue change. Spread the word because you don't want your friends to miss out!
Relax, it hasn't been cancelled. it's just been moved to the Town Ballroom.
will be Dutch five-piece DISAVOWED. Freshly signed to Neurotic Records, DISVOWED are inspired by bands like Suffocation, Pyrexia, Vader and Dying Fetus. Check out their forthcoming album due out in January 2007.
We lost another friend with the passing of Bryan Hipp. Our sincere condolences go out to his friends and family. Rest in peace Bryan.
Everyone in Cannibal Corpse is stunned and deeply saddened by the death of our good friend Jared Anderson. Our sincerest condolences go out to his friends and family. We will miss you brother.
We have just returned from a very successful tour of Australia and New Zealand. We would like to thank the guys at Soundworks Touring for doing such a great job with the organization and promotion of the tour.
Thanks also go out to Darren and all at Stomp for the help they gave us before and during the tour, and to the clubs and local promoters that helped make the tour possible.
We would also like to say thanks and hello to Psycroptic, Plague, and Ulcerate. It was great to share the stage with such killer bands while we were down there.
Finally, and most importantly, we would like to say a huge thank you to all of the fans who attended the shows in Australia and New Zealand. We had not been to Australia in many years, and we had never been to New Zealand, so we were not entirely sure what to expect. The size and enthusiasm of the crowds was even greater than we had hoped for, and we wanted to make sure you all knew how much we appreciate that. We got the chance to hang out with a lot of friends old and new, and you all made the long trip and hectic schedule (8 shows in 8 days, with flights between each city) more than worth the effort for us. We'll make sure that we return to Australia and New Zealand a lot more often, because you guys rule!

Maybe Dethklok is the new buzz in metalland, but inspite of the hype, the guest appearances and the pr, they are no Cannibal Corpse.
"September 5, 2006 - In response to our passionate readers' pleas, we here at IGN TV are trying to give a voice to the unappreciated metal band known as Dethklok. We have seen your emails and we understand your love for death metal... and let me say that I understand where you are coming from. So in an act to give the most violent band alive the justice it deserves, we have created the 'Metalocalypse Showdown'! This daily contest will pit the most ruthless hard metal gods against each other in an attempt to see how Dethklok stacks up against the best heavy metal bands of all time."

We have just returned from the Sounds of the Underground tour, and we feel it was a great success. We would like to thank the entire crew on SOTU for doing a great job and for keeping things running smoothly throughout the tour.
